Gold sandals from Gohils, Camden Lock

You won't find much in Camden Lock that was made with care by skilled designer-makers from London. Gohils is an exception - based in Camden Lock since 1966 where they have been making shoes, satchels and small leather accessories (belts, purses, pencil cases) in their work shop which is located on the High Street, just before you get to the bridge over the canal.
These sandals were made to measure for my high instep, and are smooth and cool on summer feet. They are ten times more beautiful than anything you would find in high street shops, and about the same price. Available in a range of colours - black, brown; and gold made to order. Call them on 0207 485 9195 to order a pair.
They are open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 6pm, 246 Camden High Street NW1 8QS.

Emma Fox jewellery - some new pieces

Emma Fox is one of my favourite jewellery designers (have a look here at my necklace of two doves with a gold star). Birds, rabbits, fishes and other creatures, are captured in silver with touches of gold. Her pieces are individually handmade, rather than being cast, so each one is slightly different and unique. Emma takes commissions - contact her via her website. Here are some recent pictures of new pieces: fish with charms is perfect for the summer (second pic down), and the horse necklace too (third pic down).

I found these Josie Jones textiles at the Handmade in Britain 'London A Celebration' fair at the Oxo Tower in May. Fabulous colour combinations with neat silhouettes of leaves and flowers.

Faith Tavender jewellery

I'm always on the look out for jewellery, I am rather partial to a necklace or two, and I love these pieces by Faith Tavender - especially the daisies. Her jewellery can be bought from her Not On The High Street shop (as well as various stockists around the country). Faith was recently at the Made In Clerkenwell Craft Central event - its a chance to meet designer-makers, have a little peek at their studios, and buy some beautifully designed and crafted things... the next one is 22nd November 2012 and definitely worth a visit.

Oval floral ring - which makes me think of a treasure your might find in your grandmother's jewellery box

Chloe Croft at Spirit of Summer Fair 2012

Chloe Croft's portraits of exotic flamingoes and tigers, and pets such as love birds, cats and dogs are made from mosaics of tiny strips of coloured paper. You can buy the originals, or screenprinted versions on prints, lampshades, cushions and blinds from her website.

Belle & Bunty - Spring Summer 2012

Belle & Bunty design some of my very favourite frocks (I'm in love with their Primrose dress, one of their Magnificent 7 bridal dresses) - I had a little peak at their Spring Summer collection the other day which has a delicious selection of dresses and jackets in pastel and bright colours which are perfect for the summer social season. Pop along to their boutique on Brecknock Road which has been decked out in pretty ribbons to have a look for yourself.
