Tatty Devine brooch and Rob Ryan card celebrating 10 years of Mimi

As regular readers will know I am a *huge* fan of Mimi's bags and purses. Mimi started out in Spitalfields Market ten years ago - she then moved to Cheshire Street, and now has a showroom in Bethnal Green.

To celebrate a decade of Mimi's beautifully designed and made handbags, Rob Ryan has designed a card, and Tatty Devine has designed a brooch featuring Mimi and her lurcher dog Dora (who is every bit as elegant as Mimi, and her handbags).  The brooch (£42) will be on sale at Tatty Devine in Mimi's pop-up Christmas shop during November and December.

Tatty Devine, 236 Brick Lane, London E2 7EB - pop-up shop open 10th November to 31st December.

tea towel (lovely enough to frame)

I do a LOT of washing up. This Rob Ryan tea towel makes the tiresome task a whole lot better, designed with totally awesome attention to detail.  Available from To Dry For, the one and only place to buy your tea towels.

The text reads: 'Everything that is supposed to be here in heaven is already here on Earth'

although I would question this statement just a teensy weensy bit: what's missing from my heaven is someone else willing and able to do the washing up, seeing as I do all the cooking...

Rob Ryan print for Haiti

It's not much more than a year since Haiti was hit by an earthquake, and the country is still in need of huge amounts of help.  The artist Rob Ryan, who specialises in paper cutting and screen prints, has made this two-colour hand pulled print to raise funds for Haiti.  Every print is signed and numbered in an edition of 200. All profits (ie £200 minus Paypal and Etsy fees) will go to Haiti.

It is available from his Ryan Town shop (more info on his blog) in Columbia Road, and also from his Etsy store.

The print reads: ‘We are all part of each other and this is my promise, I won’t pass you by and I won’t ignore you and look the other way but I’ll help you build your nest again. This is my promise’.
